City police responded to more than 240 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, June 6 through Sunday, June 12.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
This week’s report shows police were only slightly busier on the south side, responding to 134 criminal incidents compared to 113 cases north of the Harbour Expressway.
The more than 240 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:
• 18 assaults
• 10 break and enters
• 12 thefts
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 12 thefts from vehicle
• 5 weapons charges
• 1 robbery
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:
• 9 assaults
• 12 break and enters
• 1 robberies
• 1 sexaul assaults
• 12 thefts
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 9 thefts from vehicle
• 4 weapons charges
The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
