Global Sticks Inc. issued a formal statement to the public about its current situation.
In a news release issued Thursday afternoon, the company states that its Oliver Paipoonge plant has been idled since mid November as the company seeks to restructure its finances.
The company also states that it has been working with the provincial government concerning wood supply, and added that major steps are in place to ensure adequate access to birch wood fibre.
The company also formally announced that it intended to issue payroll cheques to its employees.
