The Great Canadian Roadshow has made a local pit stop, attracting people who hope to cash in on some old valuables they’ve had laying around the house.
The travelling event is visiting the Prince Arthur Hotel. Experts are appraising antiques and collectibles, such as war memorabilia, gold, silver, and old toys among other items. Florence O'Keefe pocketed a cheque for nearly $1,000 after bringing in a variety of old toys and jewellery she's collected over the years.
The items are sold to collectors from around the world.
Show Manager Boris Shreyberg said war memorabilia and precious metals are in particularly high demand.
The Roadshow continues until next Friday.
