Greenstone OPP respond to 33 calls over weekend

Ontario Provincial Police said they responded to a variety of calls from Friday, Jan. 29 to Sunday, Jan. 31.

GREENSTONE, ONT. — Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police responded to more than 30 calls over three days.

OPP said they responded to 33 calls for service from Friday, Jan. 29 to Sunday Jan. 31 and laid 15 charges, according to a news release issued Feb. 1.

Some of the calls including two bail violations, two drug offences, two traffic complaints, two mental health-related calls, and eight provincial statutes.

Police are reminding residents to report minor crimes through the online reporting system called Citizen Self Reporting (CSR).

Applicable calls for service which fall within the CSR online reporting parameters include:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Mischief/damage to property under $5000
  • Mischief/damage to vehicle under $5,000
  • Theft from vehicle
  • Lost/missing property under $5,000
  • Stolen license plates
  • Driving complaints
