Greenstone OPP respond to more than 40 calls over weekend

GREENSTONE, Ont. — Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police responded to 42 calls over the weekend.

OPP laid 11 charges under the criminal code, Highway Traffic Act and the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act from Friday, Feb. 5 to Sunday, Feb. 7.

Some of the calls police attended included one bail violation, one drug offence, seven traffic complaints, two unwanted person, three warrants, three missing persons and three prevent breach of peace.

OPP is reminding the public of the Citizen Self Reporting internet tool which allows the public to report specific crimes.

The applicable calls for service which fall within the online reporting parameters include: 

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Mischief/damage to property under $5,000
  • Mischief/damage to vehicle under $5,000
  • Theft from vehicle
  • Lost/missing property under $5,000
  • Stolen license plates
  • Driving complaints
