Gun incident at Riverside Health Centre in Rainy River

Hospital spokeswoman says no staff were involved and no one was injured in the incident.

THUNDER BAY – One person has been taken into custody following an incident involving a gun in the parking lot outside Riverside Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said no one was injured in the incident and no staff members were involved.

OPP confirmed there were no injuries and promised an update as the investigation progresses. 

The OPP would like to make everyone aware that there is currently no risk to public safety at this time. As this incident is still under investigation there is not any further information to provide but police will give an update as more information becomes available," the OPP said in a release.
