Harris nets 27, LU wins sixth straight

No. 10 team completes high-scoring weekend road sweep over York.

NORTH YORK, Ont. – Alston Harris erupted for 27 points, leading the No. 10 Lakehead Thunderwolves to a sixth straight OUA men’s basketball victory.

The veteran guard made 9-of-13 shots, including both three-point attempts, as the T-Wolves completed a weekend sweep of the York Lions on the road, winning 94-81.

Michael Okafor put up 17 for LU, who are tied for top spot in the OUA Central with Brock, both teams sporting identical 13-3 records.

Somto Dimanochie had a game-high 25 for the Lions, who fell to 3-13 on the season.

The Thunderwolves return to the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse next weekend, welcoming Toronto Metropolitan to Thunder Bay for a pair on Friday and Saturday night.
