A head-on crash between a car and pickup truck along Highway 17 just west of Kenora sent one man to the district hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
OPP say the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Saturday near Inglis Lake Road. The driver of the truck was traveling westbound when it collided with the car. The man driving the truck was taken to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
The crash forced police to close that section of the highway for an hour.
The 18-year-old driver of the car, who is from Winnipeg, received wasn’t hurt. Police charged him with careless driving and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
