Health Unit announced a dozen new COVID-19 cases

THUNDER BAY – A dozen more COVID-19 cases have been announced by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

The latest cases brings the district’s tally to 343 since March, with 108 considered active and 231 considered resolved.

Ten of the case reveals are the result of surveillance testing of residents and staff at Roseview Southbridge, where more than 60 people have tested positive.

Two others are considered close contacts and the other two are in Marathon, as announced by the Marathon Family Health Team. 

Five of the current cases are hospitalized, with one person listed as being in the ICU.

A total of four people have died of the virus in the Thunder Bay District.
