THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced the district's 100th total confirmed case of COVID-19 Tuesday morning.
There are now three active cases in the district, with none hospitalized.
The newest case involves a Thunder Bay-area woman in her 60s, now self-isolating. The health unit had not yet determined an exposure category, which indicates how the patient contracted the virus.
The woman's episode date, indicating the earliest date on which she experienced symptoms, was tested, or had results reported to the health unit, is listed as July 20.
It's the new fourth case the health unit has announced in August, and the ninth announced over the past month.
