THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Saturday. The case involves a Thunder Bay-area man in his 40s, who is now self-isolating at home.
The health unit has not yet determined how the man was exposed to the virus.
It's the third new case reported in the district in less than a week, following a ten-day gap in new cases from May 21 until the 31.
The district has now seen a total of 84 cases. Only three of those remain active, with one person hospitalized as of Saturday morning.
