Health Unit announces one new COVID-19 case

Of the region's 79 cases, 74 are deemed resolved and one person has died.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has its first new confirmed COVID-19 case in five days.

The health unit on Thursday announced a man in his 20s has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus and is in self-isolation.

He’s listed a s living in Thunder Bay and surrounding area and his exposure category is pending.

It’s the 79th COVID-19 case under revealed by the health unit, 74 of which have been deemed resolved. There has been one COVID-19 death in the district.

There are only four active cases in the area.
