COVID-19 Vaccine 2
THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit hopes to expand access to the COVID-19 vaccine with a series of special clinics planned over the coming weeks.

That will include pop-up clinics in targeted neighbourhoods in the city of Thunder Bay, dedicated clinics for youth aged 12 to 17, and later, clinics in rural areas outside of the city.

“We want to enhance access to the COVID-19 vaccine and make it easier and more convenient for people to get it,” said medical officer of health Dr. Janet DeMille. “We have neighbourhood-based ‘pop-up’ clinics coming up and we encourage anyone in those areas who is eligible for vaccine to attend.”

Dates and other details for the upcoming clinics can be found below.

Youth and family clinics

Dedicated clinics will be held during the week of June 14 for youth aged 12 to 17.

Family members of those youth who have not yet received their own first dose can also book an appointment at the clinics.

Booking information for the youth clinics has been given to caregivers by local school boards, the health unit said.
