THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says it has opened up about 3,600 additional vaccination appointment slots.

At present, the clinics, held at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition's Coliseum building, are open to anyone 60 and older. Appointments will be booked between May 10 and May 14.

As of this past Saturday, the health unit says 40,497 people living in the district have been vaccinated with at least one dose, and a total of 45,298 doses have been given out.

In addition to the health unit's clinics, doses are being given at a variety of other clinics in the city.
