Health unit reports two new COVID-19 cases

A man in his 50s and a man in his 80s are self-isolating after testing positive for the virus.

THUNDER BAY - There are two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay District, bringing the total number of cumulative cases to 104.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced on Monday that a man in 50s and a man in his 80s with the episode date for both listed as Aug. 21.

The exposure category is listed as pending and both men are self-isolating.

There are now two active COVID-19 cases in the district and currently no hospitalizations due to the virus.

There have been 36,211 COVID-19 tests conducted in the district.

The health unit is reminding people to continue to follow all public health guidelines.
