THUNDER BAY - People along the shores of Lake Superior will be treated to a brief preview of winter overnight, as heavy flurries are expected this evening and overnight.

Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for portions along Lake Superior between Thunder Bay and Wawa.

Snow accumulation is not expected to be significant due to temperatures remaining near 0C but heavy flurries can reduce visibility.

Motorists are being asked to exercise caution and be aware that weather conditions may change rapidly.

Rain is expected to continue on Sunday with temperatures rising to a high of 7C.
