THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is bracing for an unusual amount of late-fall rain.
Environment Canada on Monday issued a special weather statement, calling for between 30 millimetres and 50 millimetres of rain between now and Tuesday.
“An area of rain, at times heavy, is affecting places near the Lake Superior shoreline this morning,” the statement reads.
“The rain is expected to diminish in intensity by this afternoon.
In addition, gusty east winds to 70 kilometres per hour are expected.”
