NIPIGON, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police are on the scene of a two-vehicle collision east of Nipigon that has left the eastbound lane closed to traffic.
The collision occurred late Sunday afternoon 30 kilometres east of Nipigon. There is no word on any injuries or when the highway will be reopened.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the city of Thunder Bay and surrounding region. Between 15 and 20 centimetres of snow is expected into Sunday night.
Heavy snowfall can reduce visibility and create dangerous driving conditions. Police are advising motorists avoid travel if possible or to exercise extreme caution while on area roadways and highways.
