Highway 61 collision leads to impaired driving charge

A 68-year-old woman was arrested after a collision on Sunday.

THUNDER BAY — A resident of Rosslyn has been charged with impaired driving after a collision Sunday on Highway 61.

OPP were called at 6:15 a.m. regarding a single-vehicle collision within the Municipality of Neebing.

After officers located the vehicle and interviewed the driver, they determined she had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

As a result of tests conducted at the Thunder Bay detachment, she was found to have a blood alcohol concentration greater than the legal limit.

The 68-year-old will appear in court on July 17.
