A three-truck crash on Highway 11-17 is making the afternoon commute a little slower for some drivers.
The mishap, which happened in a construction zone near the Terry Fox Lookout, sent at least one man to hospital.
Witnesses on the scene said it appeared that the two lead vehicles, two semis, were stopped on the highway because of the construction when the third vehicle, a dump truck, came over the crest of the hill and was unable to stop.
The dump truck crashed into the rear of the second semi’s trailer bed, crushing in its engine block. The middle truck was hit so hard that it slammed into the back of the lead vehicle, crushing its engine as well.
There was minimal damage to the first truck.
