City police are looking for potential witnesses to a weekend hit and run.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday a car heading westbound on Southern Avenue began to turn left onto Brodie Street when it struck on the driver’s side by a truck that was also heading westbound on Southern Avenue.
The truck then continued west on Southern Avenue without stopping.
The woman who was driving the car was taken to the hospital by a family member and has since been released.
The car she was driving had to be towed from the scene. Police say it sustained moderate damage.
Police are now looking for an early 2000s dark Ford pickup truck with a white topper. This vehicle has front-end damage, most likely on the passenger’s side.
The driver of the truck is encouraged to contact police so the investigation can be completed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit at 684-1226, or Crime Stoppers at 623-5548.
