THUNDER BAY — Three people were arrested after an investigation into an alleged home takeover.
Thunder Bay police said officers responded to a residential address on the 1100 block of Lincoln Street on Thursday morning after receiving information about a possible home takeover.
Officers arrested three suspects allegedly connected to drug trafficking activity.
A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, along with cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Two people from Thunder Bay — 50-year-old Ronald Todd Echum and 52-year-old Georgina Sharon Shaganash — are each charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
A 17-year-old from Toronto is also charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
All three appeared in bail court on Friday and remain in custody with future appearance dates.
The charges have yet to be tested in court.
