THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation has named another millionaire from the 50/50 draw.

Weston Igo reacted with the iconic winning phrase, "Winner! Gagnant!" as he noted his excitement to have won $1,247,688 for February's draw.

He has been buying tickets since the start of the Thunder Bay 50/50 draw -- to support the hospital.

“The 50/50 is a great way to raise funds for all of the hospital’s programs and for helping the rest of the region,” Igo said.

Torin Gunnell, manager, lotteries for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, said the hospital’s new state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab is now open and operational, paid for by 50/50 supporters and donations to the foundation.

“This kind of success doesn’t mean our work is done. Success means we’re doing more for patients of Northwestern Ontario.”

The March lottery is officially open, and features several early bird draws before the grand prize draw on March 29.
