The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre increased security following reports of an assault on the hospital grounds.
Spokesperson Don Halpert says the move comes in response to an alleged assault this weekend involving a female employee of the institution.
Halpert says upon hearing of the incident, police were informed immediately. But following an investigation, police officers were unable to verify that an attack had actually taken place.
Halpert says despite the inconclusive investigation, the hospital has stepped up security measures as a precaution.
