THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre has dropped to an 83 per cent occupancy rate, but there are still 22 patients admitted to the COVID-19 ward.
Six of those patients are in the intensive care unit.
On the vaccine front, hospital officials say they plan to continue to administer shots to those in the very high priority group, as per provincial directives, with the goal to have the stage completed over the next three days.
Vaccines for health-care workers at both Thunder Bay Regional and St. Joseph’s Care Group will continue over the next few weeks, pending vaccine availability and there are no changes in direction from either the ministry of health or Public Health Ontario.
