House fire

Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire Saturday night but not before it caused severe damage to a Mountdale Avenue home. Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to the call around 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Mountdale Avenue.

Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire Saturday night but not before it caused severe damage to a Mountdale Avenue home.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to the call around 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Mountdale Avenue. Firefighters discovered huge flames to the rear of the single storey home. Firefighters say the fire caused significant damage.

Everyone in the home was able to get out without any injuries.

Firefighters still don’t know the cause of the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
