THUNDER BAY – Adult, large-breed dogs need plenty of loving too.

Faced with 20 adult, large-breed dogs arriving in their care in the coming days, the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society plans to host Dog-a-Paloooza, looking to find homes for the animals as soon as possible.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14.

Appointments are not required.

All dogs up for adoption will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and will have received flea and mite treatment.

“If you are looking for an active large breed dog to add to your home, there will be a perfect furry friend waiting to meet you at Dog-a-Paloooza,” said Shawna Beaulieu, executive director at the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.

“Adoption is one of the most impactful ways to help support our ongoing commitment to our city and districts’ most vulnerable animal population.
