THUNDER BAY -- Unless you significantly change your consumption habits, you likely won't find any surprises on your hydro bills this fall.
The Ontario Energy Board has announced it won't be increasing hydro prices when time of use changes take effect on Nov. 1. The decision keep hydro rates unchanged for at least six months.
That decision applies to the local utility.
Officials with Thunder Bay Hydro say the local utility will be following suit with the zero rate increase.
The energy board says it's the first time since 2008 that it has held the line on rates, which affect about 5 million Ontario households and small businesses.
