Motorists travelling down Golf Links Road may be in for some delays, as Thunder Bay Hydro crews are replacing poles along the route.

A section of the North Bound lane of Golf Links between Central Avenue and Oliver Road will be periodically blocked off for several weeks.

Workers are excavating the land, and hydro crews are replacing poles, as the city prepares to four-lane the route.

Traffic flow will be slower than normal, and speed limits will be strictly enforced while workers are in the area.

Hydro officials say the work is expected to take about two months to complete.
