MP Bruce Hyer (NDP, Thunder Bay – Superior North) announced that he will hold a series of meetings across the riding to gathering input in before the 2010 federal budget.
Hyer said it is a chance to hear what his constituents have to say on the economy, taxes, the federal debt and more.
All events are open to the general public. Following are details of the scheduled meetings:
- Beardmore public meeting – Monday, Feb. 1, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Beardmore Community Centre, 100 Main Street.
- Nakina public meeting – Wednesday, Feb. 3, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Nakina Community Complex, 206 North Avenue.
- Geraldton town hall – Thursday, Feb. 4, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Geraldton Community Centre, 200 Wardrope Avenue South East.
- Nipigon town hall – Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Terrace Bay Community Centre (Conference Room), 1 Selkirk Road.
- Marathon town hall – Thursday, Feb. 11, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Zero-100 Motor Inn (Blue Room), 37 Peninsula Road.
