City police caught the attention of onlookers with a unique arrest Saturday afternoon. Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service took the 44-year-old man into custody without incident just after 1 p.m.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service took the 44-year-old man into custody without incident just after 1 p.m.

The man was driving an ice-cream truck in the Current River area when he was stopped by the police officers.

The ice-cream truck had to be towed from the area following the arrest.

Police offered very little information about the arrest, stating only that the man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

He had been released from custody and is expected to appear in court later.
