The Lakehead District School Board has closed several of its facilities on Monday, deciding to err on the side of caution.

Schools that won’t be open include Crestview, Five Mile, Gorham Ware, Kakabeka, McKenzie, Nor’Westerview, Valley Central, Whitefish Valley and the Lakeshore area of Claude Garton and the Rosslyn Road area of Westmount.

Busing for high school students from these areas has also been cancelled for the day.
