THUNDER BAY -- It appears Dollarama may be taking over space at Intercity Shopping Centre.

The discount store has posted a notice indicating it plans to spend $90,000 to renovate a section of the mall that formerly housed Lowe's, Target and Zellers.

Lowe's, the latest tenant to occupy the space, closed in January 2020 after three-and-a-half years in Thunder Bay.

Dollarama already has seven locations in Thunder Bay.

A company official said they hope to open the new location in late October or early November.
