IGNACE, Ont. -- A 27-year-old Ignace man is facing multiple charges of sexually related offences involving a minor.
Late last week provincial police in Ignace responded to a sexual assault complaint, which was investigated by officers from the detachment as well as the Northwest Region Crime Unit.
As a result of that investigation, Drew Debrie was arrested on Monday by OPP officers and charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, luring a person under 16 years of age by telecommunication, communicating with a minor for the purposes of obtaining sexual services, procuring a minor and sexually assaulting a person under 16 years of age.
Debrie appeared in Dryden court on Wednesday and is being held in custody.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The investigation is said to be continuing.
