THUNDER BAY — A teenager faces charges after an incident Monday night that left a vehicle flipped onto its side on a field at the Current River Community Centre.
Police said they responded shortly after 10 p.m. to a complaint about a pickup truck being operated in a dangerous manner on Lyon Boulevard East.
It was driven onto a walking path, then onto a field, where officers found it overturned.
After speaking with the driver and allegedly observing multiple signs of impairment, officers took him into custody.
An 18-year-old is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving and mischief under $5,000.
He was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
The Thunder Bay Police Service did not release the accused's name.
