THUNDER BAY – A local woman has been charged with impaired driving following a highway collision.
Thunder Bay OPP responded to reports of a three-vehicle collision Sunday around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 61 and Neebing Avenue.
Police said an SUV was travelling on Highway 61 and making a left turn onto Neebing Avenue.
In the process, the driver of the SUV hit a car from behind, which in turn struck another vehicle from behind.
Police spoke with the driver of the SUV and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol.
The 57-year-old driver of the SUV was arrested and charged with impaired driving. She will appear in court May 9.
