THUNDER BAY - A Thunder Bay man has been charged with impaired driving following a single vehicle collision on the city’s south side.
Thunder Bay Police responded to reports of a collision on the 1400 block of Walsh Street. A single vehicle struck a hydro pole, causing severe damage to the front of the car and nearly breaking the pole in two.
The driver, a 67-year-old Thunder Bay man, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving with more than .08 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
There were no reports of injuries and the section of Walsh Street was shut down while the hydro lines were repaired.
