SHUNIAH, ON — There were no serious injuries, but multiple charges have been laid after a collision in the Municipality of Shuniah.
Thunder Bay OPP said the incident happened Friday at 8:15 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive.
Officers sent to the scene determined the driver was impaired by alcohol, so he was arrested and taken to the detachment for further testing.
As a result, the man was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code, operating a vehicle without insurance, and using a licence plate not authorized for the vehicle.
A 28-year-old Thunder Bay resident has been released from custody pending a court appearance in August.
