Impaired investigation leads to $100K in methamphetamine seized

Dryden police have charged one woman with drug-related charges following an impaired investigation.

DRYDEN, Ont. – A 28-year-old Wabigoon woman is facing drug-related charges following an impaired investigation in Dryden.

According to a release, the Dryden Police Service received a call from a concerned citizen to check on the wellbeing of a female occupant who was located in a parking lot in central Dryden.

Upon arrival, police engaged the female who was showing signs of impaired by drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both.

During the investigation, police found 17 ounce of methamphetamine in the vehicle with an estimated street value of $100,000.

Police charged Nikki Boss, 28, of Wabigoon with failure of refusal to comply with demand, possession of schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

She was remanded to attend audio bail court on June 19.
