THUNDER BAY -- The medical officer of health for Thunder Bay District says in-class learning will not return until after the revised March Break, on April 19.

Dr. Janet DeMille, speaking on Wednesday morning on CBC radio, confirmed the decision, saying more details will be unveiled later in the day.

Students have been learning at home since March 1. The current order was scheduled to end this week.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirmed the recommendation applies to Lakehead Public School Board, the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, CSDC des Aurores Boreales' Thunder Bay schools and the Lac des Mille Lacs Education Centre.
