THUNDER BAY -- There was more emotional testimony at the Thunder Bay courthouse Friday, during the inquest into the deaths of seven First Nation students.

Friday morning the jury heard from the best friend of 18-year-old Curran Strang. She attended Dennis Franklin Comarty high school with him in 2005. But the night Strang went missing, she did not go drinking with the group because she was pregnant. Strang was found dead several days later in the McIntyre River. The witness was asked about ways to help with the transition for students moving to the city from Northern communities.

The inquest has adjourned for the weekend, and will resume on Monday.
The jury will begin looking into the death of 15-year-old Reggie Bushie in the fall of 2007. He was also found dead in the McIntyre River.
