Investigation closes section of Cameron Street

An investigation is underway on the city's southside.

THUNDER BAY -- City police have blocked off a section of Cameron Street while undertaking an investigation in the 200 to 300 block of the south-side neighbourhood.

Police have asked the public to avoid the area for the time being.

Further updates will be provided as they become available. Police have not indicated the nature of the investigation, though about half a dozen officers in tactical gear could seen gathered  on Cameron Street.
