Investigation into fatal float plane crash continues

The OPP and Transportation Safety Board continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a float plane crash Friday near Red Lake that killed two people. The float plane crashed in an area known as Bruce Channel, about 200 metres from shore.

The float plane crashed in an area known as Bruce Channel, about 200 metres from shore.

On Saturday, the OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit located the bodies in the wreckage at the bottom of Red Lake.

Dead are 58-year-old Brenda Beauchene and 59-year-old Jim Beauchene of Phoenix, Arizona. 

The investigation continues.
