Investigation leads to weapons charges in Kenora

An investigation in Kenora has led to weapons resulted charges for four individuals.

KENORA, Ont. – Four people are now facing charges following an investigation by police.

Kenora Community Street Crime Unit and the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau have charged three Kenora residents and one Thunder Bay resident on Thursday with weapons related charges.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old from Kenora, a 41-year-old from Kenora and a 28-year-old from Thunder Bay have been charged with knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm and careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

Police also charged a 51-year-old from Kenora with careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

All accused were released and are scheduled to appear in court on March 5 to answer to the charges.
