This area’s nagging winter headache is poised to continue.

According to Environment Canada’s most recent short-range forecast, Thunder Bay is about to be hit by another 10 centimetres of snow.

The government weather agency is predicting the snow will begin Wednesday night, just before Thursday morning. Temperatures on Thursday should remain steady at zero degrees, allowing for the 10 centimetres of snow to hit the ground.

Periods of snow are likely to continue into Friday, which is expected to come with a high of zero and a low of -3C. According to Environment Canada spokesman Geoff Coulson, freezing rain could also be in store for the city on Saturday.

Temperatures will head upwards this weekend and into next week, with highs of 15C and 19C in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday respectively.
