A familiar face is taking over the reins of Christmas Cheer.

Jolene Kemp, who headed the organization for a number of years before giving way to Linda Gambee, was elected chairwoman for this year’s campaign.

Gambee stepped down earlier this week after a dispute led to her ouster from the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition board of directors.

“There’s a lot of important work to be done again this year and we need to move forward with our annual plan,” Kemp said in a release.

“The Christmas Cheer board is grateful to be able to continue to operate using the Coliseum of the CLE as its base.”
