THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to host 2018 Juno Winner Hawksley Workman at Live on the Waterfront on Wednesday, July 10.

Hawksley Workman is a great start to this year’s Live on the Waterfront, setting the tone for the soundtrack of the summer,” said Louisa Costanzo, Cultural Development and Event Supervisor. “We are thrilled to present Hawksley Workman in a show that should not be missed.”

Hawksley Workman's career spans over a decade, including several albums, a Juno award and several nominations. He is not only a talented musician, playing several different instruments, but he is also an accomplished music producer and has worked with artists such as Tegan & Sara, Serena Ryder and Great Big Sea. Workman's new album, Median Age Wasteland, has a nostalgic, dreamy feel, and the single Lazy has a suede-like vibe that encourages further listening.

The first Live on the Waterfront of the season will also feature England’s The Young’Uns, bringing their trademark harmony and humour to the stage, along with Thunder Bay’s own Tourist Bureau.

Live on the Waterfront runs from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. every Wednesday from July 10 to Aug. 28 and is funded in part by the Government of Ontario.
