THUNDER BAY — There's lots of water going over Kakabeka Falls right now, but visitors hoping to enjoy the spectacle from their favourite viewing pod may be disappointed.
The park closed the prime viewing platform on the east side of the Kaministiquia River earlier this month for maintenance and repairs.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks says the work includes deck replacement.
It's expected to be completed this fall.
The ministry completed work on a viewing pod on the west side of the falls over the summer.
Kakabeka Falls is the second-highest waterfall in Ontario.
