A 46-year-old Kaministiquia resident faces multiple charges after an alleged incident of intimate partner violence last week.
Provincial police said officers and paramedics responded to a 911 call in the community west of Thunder Bay on May 17, where two people with injuries were taken to hospital.
A police investigation has resulted in the accused being charged with two counts of sexual assault, along with one count each of forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.
The accused is expected to appear in a Thunder Bay court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
