THUNDER BAY -- For the first time in months, Thunder Bay has passenger bus service to Fort Frances and communities to the west.
Kasper Transportation launched this new route Thursday sending three passengers in that direction.
The bus left Thunder Bay, travelling through Shabaqua and Atikokan to Fort Frances before arriving in Kenora.
At least four other riders are set to come back this way on Friday.
General Manager Ted Moyle calls that a good start and is hoping to reach eight or more passengers per trip in the near future.
“We’ve been working on this for probably about a good six months for sure,” Moyle said.
“From a lot of input we’ve seen from everybody, calls that we’ve received and questions about it…It’s been building up for a bit.”
